datac Kommunikationssysteme GmbH, a specialist in modern workplaces and collaboration, has been acquired by q.beyond AG. Listed company q.beyond is an IT service provider with extensive expertise in cloud, SAP and IoT. With this acquisition, it expands its existing expertise in digital workplaces and datac’s expertise will provide new growth opportunities for q.beyond’s Microsoft business.
datac develops and supports holistic solutions for the digitalized working world for 700+ SME customers, relying primarily on the Microsoft ecosystem with applications such as Office 365 and Teams. In recent years, datac has very successfully focused on business with Microsoft solutions for virtual cooperation and
communications. It has more than 50 IT specialists, including numerous Microsoft-certified experts, at its two locations in Augsburg and Düsseldorf.
q.beyond resulted from the rebranding of QSC in September 2020. With 900 employees at several locations throughout Germany, the leading IT service provider accompanies its primarily medium-sized customers securely through the digital transformation, with comprehensive expertise in the areas of cloud, SAP and IoT.
The IMAP team exclusively advised datac’s shareholder, supporting them in structuring and negotiating the transaction in a selective competitive process and bringing it to a successful closing in less than six months.
