IMAP advises the family office of the Wagner family on the acquisition of a property in Speyer am Rhein

The family office of the Wagner family (former Wagner Pizza) has acquired a property with 84 residential units and one commercial unit located directly by the river Rhine in the city of Speyer. It is the fourth residential quarter ("SQUARE_SIDE") in the newly created site "AM FLUSS", which has been developed by DEUTSCHE WOHNWERTE GmbH & Co. KG. The transaction is structured as a forward deal with forward funding. The construction phase has already started, and the completion is planned for 2023.

The "AM FLUSS" site is being built on the location of a former brickworks site in Speyer am Rhein. In reference the site’s history, brick facades with brick clinker are used. The development of the entire project, which is divided into five residential quarters, is complemented by a high-quality and individual open space design of the inner courtyards, the new promenade, and the newly created “Rheinuferpark”. In addition to the high-quality construction and fittings, the quarter impresses with both its exclusive location directly by the river and its proximity to the old town center with the cathedral. A total of 353 residential units are being built for owner-occupiers/ homeowners and tenants (210 units will be completed by the end of 2021). Each residential quarter was specifically designed by internationally renowned architects such as Eike Becker (Berlin), KCAP Architects&Planners (Zurich), kränzle+fischer-wasels (Karlsruhe) and Böge Lindner K2 Architekten (Hamburg).

With this investment, the family office continues to implement its long-term oriented, diversified investment strategy. In addition to investments in real estate with stable value, this also includes corporate investments.
