IMAP advises the shareholder families of Dresselhaus on the sale to Nimbus

The four shareholder families of Joseph Dresselhaus GmbH & Co. KG (Dresselhaus), with around 800 employees one of Europe's leading suppliers of fastening technology and fasteners for industrial and commercial customers, have sold their shares to the Dutch industrial holding company Nimbus as part of a succession solution.

With the support of Nimbus, Dresselhaus will be able to implement the initiated optimization processes even more efficiently and focus on sustainable and profitable growth in Germany and abroad. The acquisition is still subject to approval by the responsible antitrust authorities in Germany and Turkey.

Since its foundation in 1950, Dresselhaus, as a family owned company, has become one of the leading supply chain solution providers in the field of fasteners and fixing technology in Germany and Europe. The range of services includes C-parts-management for industrial customers as well as point-of-sale solutions for commercial customers. With five locations in Germany and subsidiaries in France, Russia and Turkey, Dresselhaus generates annual sales of around EUR 220 million.

"With Nimbus we have found an experienced investor with an excellent understanding of our business model and market, which will enable us to further expand our core business in a targeted manner," commented Jürgen Nordhus, who will continue to act as Managing Director of Dresselhaus.

The industrial holding company Nimbus, founded in the Netherlands in the 1990s, has a portfolio of more than 30 European companies and generates cumulative sales of around EUR 2 billion in the German-Dutch region. The holding company selectively acquires companies that are at a turning point in their development and actively supports them. For Nimbus, it is crucial that new investments have a healthy core as well as optimization potential through growth, new developments and operational improvements. "We are very grateful that the shareholders of Dresselhaus trust us to lead the company, which has been built up over three generations by the shareholder families, into the next phase of its corporate development," underlines Kaj Grichnik, the responsible Partner at Nimbus.

"As there are and have already been several comparable companies in Nimbus' portfolio, Nimbus has extensive experience, references and networks in the field of technical trade and with relevant customer groups. We are therefore convinced that in Nimbus, we have found a strong partner for Dresselhaus, who will provide sustainable support for the company's development and therefore offers the ideal solution for all parties involved," says Henning Graw, Managing Director of IMAP.

The IMAP team around Henning Graw (Managing Director), Marco Minnerup (Director), Alexander Grund (Associate) and Sebastian Dinklage (Analyst) has exclusively advised the shareholders of Joseph Dresselhaus GmbH & Co. KG and supported in structuring, negotiating and successfully executing the transaction in a competitive M&A process.
