The 2019 IMAP Spring Conference was held from the 21st to the 23rd of March in Munich. The event was hosted by IMAP Germany. Over 140 delegates representing 34 IMAP member firms from 32 countries attended the gathering.
The Symposium, hosted by IMAP Germany, held prior to the main conference and attended by clients and business partners, featured Achim Wambach, President of ZEW and Stephan Osthues, head of Watson IoT Consulting @ the IBM Watson-IoT Global Headquarters in Munich. The theme of the Symposium was based around “Digital Prosperity”. The speakers specifically addressed two main topics; how companies can best use and implement new technologies for the development of their business models and if competition among companies in the digital age will continue to produce innovation opportunities to drive increased prosperity.
The Conference also included the participation of 3 impressive guest speakers, Mr. V. C. Sehgal, Chairman of Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG), Krisztián Orbán, founder and managing partner of PE firm Oriens and David Kean, one of the world’s most authoritative business development practitioners.
Besides the panels and lectures, the IMAP team had a chance to discuss ongoing projects and potential future projects. IMAP partners were able to spend face-to-face time interacting in small practice groups focused on particular industries. Bilateral meetings to discuss business trends, potential deals and opportunities for cross-border collaboration also took place.
The next IMAP conferences will be held in Marrakech in October 2019 and in Denver in March 2020.
